InternetEverybody is always looking out for the best internet provider. Depending on what your needs are, the best internet provider could mean a variety of things. Is it speed you desire? Or is it a reliable connection that you need the most? There are plenty of companies out there that are now boasting to offer some of the cheapest internet around. These days, we have all seen the commercials for ATT and YAHOO DSL on television; they offer high speed internet for fifteen dollars a month, and say that they have the most reliable quick connection for the price. Outside of that, there are wireless providers out there like Cingular and Sprint/Nextel who sell wireless cards for wireless internet subscriptions. The cards go right in the side or back of laptop computers and they give a signal anywhere that you go (in theory). This means that even when you travel away from your hot s pots with your wireless internet card you will always have a signal. Of course, Dial Up is going to be the most inexpensive internet provider that you can possibly get your hands on. This is provided by the Good Old Friends of Internet Service Providers, like EarthLink, America Online, and Net Zero. Some of these dial up plans are even free, but they offer a rather unreliable connection that is horrible for uploading or downloading digital pictures, or downloading and listening to music. That means if you have an IPod or some similar MP3 musical player and you like to use your computer to put music on it, stay as far away from the Dial Up Internet service providers as you possibly can. If Dial UP is a bit too slow for your taste and wireless internet is not quite your cup of tea, consider the services of a cable modem. IF you currently have cable in your home, try contacting your provider and seeing what type of high speed internet service they offer. Usually, they have a few tiers of speed to choose from and even the lowest speed is better than the service offered by the ATT/Yahoo! DSL special on broadband internet access. You don’t have to go broke on your internet access; there are a number of free and cheap internet service providers out there if you know what you are looking for and put in the work to find it.
